I felt that it was still pretty effective when it went down. I thought the two main characters in Soldier of Fortune were pretty damn cool and while you can see the twist coming a mile away. The game has a pretty decent story that sees some nukes go missing and Mullins and Hawk needing to go all over the world to make sure they do not end up in the wrong hands. The main character is a dude called John Mullins and he along with his bro, Hawk are a two-man army that are called in when the poop hits the fan and things need fixing.
When it's zoomed in, your FOV is very small and the game will feel slow.The story of the game is pretty badass. You can try this yourself by walking around with the sniper rifle.
Small FOV makes the game feel slow and large FOV makes it feel fast (your real speed is always the same). Since the missing information is at the top and the bottom, I don't consider this a big problem. Note that the horizontal FOV isn't changed, so you will actually see less instead of more. If you keep the original menus, the bottom part of the menus may not be visible.

You should also download these modified menus that will fit in the new screen aspect ratios. This will allow you to play SoF in fullscreen mode on widesceen displays without getting image distortion.

All anti-cheat software for SoF (Haxorcist, WaX, UAC3) is currently obsolete / unmaintained and it's unlikely that a new anti-cheat will ever be developed.ĭownload this patch to change the hardcoded resolutions of SoF.exe.
